
Second Harvest has many volunteer opportunities for individuals who desire a more consistent volunteer experience. Individual volunteer opportunities include:
Warehouse Assistants: Participating in various tasks in the warehouse from custodial duties to sorting food.
Food for Kids Volunteers: Assisting in the creation of packs of nutritious snacks for school children on free and reduced lunch. (Volunteer dates and times vary according to product supply).
Administrative Volunteers: Utilizing your vocational expertise (clerical, technical, etc.) to help in the management of the Food Bank.

Group Volunteer Activities
Second Harvest provides volunteer opportunities for groups at either our facility or through our partner agencies. If your club, organization, church group, etc. wishes to volunteer, please complete the application and send an email to volunteers@netfoodbank.org with “Group Volunteer Activity” in the Subject tab.
Hunger Advocates - Hunger Advocates is the latest volunteer opportunity offered at Second Harvest where volunteers promote hunger elimination through advocacy. Advocates engage in many activities, such as writing letters to members of Congress, participating in food distributions, and assisting clients with their Food Stamp applications.
